The Golf Buddy on a powered trolley

Welcome to the Golf Buddy web site.

The Golf Buddy was developed by myself, to aid golfers when playing golf in different weather conditions. I found over the years that most umbrella stands that were supplied were only suitable for holding your umbrella whilst taking your shot or putting on the green. I also found that most cardholders were never really suitable or positioned in a way that could be easily used, often being behind or in front of your golf bag when it was sitting on your golf trolley.

Then one day, whilst walking down the fairway with my can of coke in one hand and my umbrella in the other, wondering how I was going to push the trolley. I decided to use my engineering skills and try to overcome the problems that I, and most other people, have been faced with. With this, the idea sprang to my head for the golf buddy development.

I wanted to develop something that was easy to fit, looked good, was well made and very reliable, as well as overcome all the problems which golfers face. The first thing was the umbrella, to make it so it could carry the umbrella at all times, in a position that would be suitable for preventing the rain from hitting you or the sun from burning you, whatever direction, this position also needed to accommodate taller golfers. I then wanted to put the cardholder in a position where it would be easy to use, and most of the time on a flat surface, as well as a place that would keep your card dry. The third thing was the dreaded opened can of coke, so I used a can/bottle holder that tilted backwards and forwards, and to also prevent spillages I introduced a can lid.

After using lots and lots of different materials, and many hours of planing and producing, we finally came to what you can now see in the photos, known as the golf buddy. To enhance the product, I decided to supply it in three different colours, as not everybody likes the same coloured accessories for their golf trolleys.

So instead of carrying your can, your card and your umbrella, let the golf buddy do it for you.

Good golfing, J Perks.
